Having an option at your shop to get customers back on the road is must in today’s wheel/tire market. The cost of the sensors and the valves are relatively low so it makes it a great option vs. Most tire shops now are also in need of a scan tool for service, so the investment in one is no longer an extra cost as its being utilized daily for other features. For most shops this is a very flexible program that can help get their customers back on the road quickly while keeping the shops inventory costs down not having to stock over 120 different part numbers. We also like that there is now a clamp in and snap in valve stem option so you can match a vehicles OE style of valves. If you have access to the vehicle the system can also be used to clone an existing set, saving consumers time for resetting the TPMS system each year with the summer/winter change overs.
The EZ Sensor system is very easy to use with a step by step programming setup that makes it easy for even a novice to create replacement sensors for over 80% of the vehicles on the road. Notice the flat sides of the stem insert on the valve and on the sensor, this is why you want to do the assembly off the wheel as to create proper alignment… Remove the existing stem with your Schrader torque tool #20140 Now lets say you want to change to the clamp in stem… Now we are prompted to put the correct part in front of the tool for transmission. Now we can select which sensor brand we are programming, in this case the EZ Sensor… Today we will be using the Bartec 400SD to do our demonstration.įirst thing we need to do is go into out toolkit… The EZ sensor system does require either a scan tool with programming capability or the Bartec TPMS pad to program the blank sensors. Schrader has 2 part numbers #33000 for the 315MHz and #33100 433MHz version and they now have an aluminum clamp-in stem option #34000 to replace the #20008 rubber snap in stem.
